The wild rush of ardour – you ought to see it. — Ghalib
We welcome American poet Matthew Rana to Anti on Saturday 29 April for a reading of his new book Ardour, the latest installment of his serial poem The Daud, an inquiry into Urdu poetry and the ghazal, ongoing since 2003. The reading will be followed by a conversation with Khashayar Naderehvandi.
Free entry. Readings begin at 17.00. The program will be held in English.
Matthew Rana is the author of Ardour: Poems from the Daud (Nion Editions, 2022). His writing has appeared in Jacket2, OEI, and The Poetry Project Newsletter, among others, and he is a regular contributor to Kunstkritikk and Frieze. Currently a PhD candidate at the Amsterdam School for Cultural Analysis, he lives and works in Stockholm.
Khashayar Naderehvandi is the author of the novel Hemsökelse (Norsteds, 2022) and the dissertation Vem vittnar för vittnet? : det litterära verket som vittnesmål och översättning (Ideella föreningen Autor, 2020) among other works. Naderehvandi lives and works in Malmö.
